One Palette, Endless Possibilities
This October, Gucci Beauty enters the eyeshadow category with Palette Beauté des Yeux. This breathtakingly gorgeous refillable eyeshadow palette comes with 12 playful Gucci shades, giving makeup lovers the opportunity to get creative and express themselves.
A NEW OBJECT OF DESIRE
As with the other products in the Gucci Beauty collection, creative director Alessandro Michele created this eyeshadow palette as an object of desire. The packaging is more than just functional. It’s a stunning keepsake to be displayed on a vanity. A true collector’s item, the case features a meticulously hand painted floral pattern and a gold trim. The case is also easily refillable, which is a more sustainable option than the throwaway eyeshadow palettes found at many beauty counters.
LUXURIOUS FLORAL-INSPIRED SHADES
Designed for year-round use, the Gucci Eyeshadow Palette comes in 12 shades with three different finishes for an endless variety of looks. The shades in this eyeshadow palette are evidence of Michele’s strong love of flowers. Each shade was inspired by a flower or plant. For example, Ancolie Noire, a deep matte black, takes its inspiration from the columbine flower.
And since it’s Gucci, the application experience is luxurious from start to finish. The unique formula of these eyeshadows includes skin-loving ingredients like squalane and precious additions like lustrous pearl pigment that give the shadows a silky-smooth feel. Though soft to the touch, each shade has a long-lasting formula that delivers high color payoff.
To meet Gucci’s brand values, the shades are inclusive and appropriate for all skin tones. Plus, the shadows are multi-purpose. They can be used as a bronzer, eyeliner, highlighter, or even a lip color. For example, those with fair skin tones can use Jasmin Blanc as a matte highlighter, while those with mid-deep skin tones can use Gardenia Rose as a shimmering highlighter.
HOW TO USE THE PALETTE
So how does one use this exquisite palette? While the palette is designed to support creativity and allow wearers to express themselves however they want, we do have a few suggestions.
The palette is divided into four “harmonies”, a set of shades that work well together.
THE BLUE HARMONY
The blue harmony (Ancolie Noire, Iris Améthyste, Aster Céleste, Armoise Argentée) makes an ideal “going out” look.
To get this look, start by applying Armoise Argentée and Ancolie Noire all over the eyelid as a base and blend up towards the brow. Next, apply Aster Céleste into the moving part of the eyelid and blend into the base. Blend Iris Améthyste into the crease, then apply it as an eyeliner along the upper and lower lash lines.
THE BROWN HARMONY
The brown harmony (Gardenia Rose, Anémone Orange, Orchidée Châtain, Cèdre Brun) is warm and sensual.
To achieve this look, begin by applying Orchidée Châtain all over the lid as a base. Apply a small amount beneath the eye and blend to soften. Next, define the crease, upper, and lower lash lines with Cédre Brun. Blend Anémone Orange into the crease to bring warmth to the look. Finish the look by applying Gardenia Rose above and below the crease, starting at the inner corner of the eye.
THE PINK HARMONY
The pink harmony (Jasmin Blanc, Eurosa Douce, Passiflore Violacé, Verveine Mauve) is soft and romantic.
To get this look, start by softly blending Eurosa Douce all around the eye. Define the upper and lower lash lines with Verveine Mauve. Blend out the eyeliner with Passiflore Violacé. Then finish the look by applying Jasmin Blanc to the center of the eyelid.
Of course, another method is to select shades from different harmonies and experiment! Gucci Beauty designed this palette as a tool for self-expression, and it’s meant to create both a fun and luxurious experience for makeup lovers. Gucci Palette Beauté des Yeux launches on October 1.
